Whitewater Jetboat Racing

As you know, the World Championship will be held in Mexico this year. This time around, the Organizing Committee chose the great (and very safe) southern states of Tabasco and Chiapas. We are pleased to inform that the Governors of both states, are giving us their full cooperation in order to host a great event.
The race will be 600 + miles including over 25 rapids, channels, full-speed legs, and a few shallow water areas.

We are excited to host this year´s UIM World Jet Boat Marathon Championship in Mexico. This time around, the race will take place in beautiful, yet challenging rivers of the states of Tabasco and Chiapas, where everyone will enjoy the traditional hospitality and friendliness of its people.
For those traveling from the US and Canada, we recommend crossing the border at the Laredo, Texas International bridge. It is best to do so early in the morning to avoid traffic. Drive South to San Luis Potosí and continue towards Mexico City, and finally to Emiliano Zapata, Tabasco, where the race starts. The whole trip will be on toll roads that are in good condition, and there is free technical assistance. If you should run out of fuel, have a flat or any other problem, the “Angeles Verdes” will show up to help free of charge.
We will be happy to provide you with a detailed route that you can follow with a map or GPS.

This year´s World Championship is looking like a lot of fun!
The list of registered boats has grown to over 35 including Ross Schlotthauer, Gord Humphrey, and Leo Wright.
We are looking forward to this event and are working hard to make sure that everyone has a great time!
